WINNERS' REGULATIONS

​WINNERS​

​

The jury will assign a score to each candidate or chamber music group. The prizes will be awarded based on this ranking:

​

  • 95- 100: 1st Prize

  • 85 - 94: 2nd Prize

  • 75- 84: 3rd Prize

​

 

 

WINNERS' CONCERT

​

The winners' concert will be held at the Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall on the following date and time:

​​​​

Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 7.30 PM

​

The dress rehearsal will take place on the same day.

​​​​

WINNERS' RECITAL AND PRIZES

​

Multiple winners will be selected to perform at the Carnegie Hall. Winners pay a recital fee. The score obtained determines the amount of the recital fee.

​

All winners participating in the Winners' concert will receive the following:

  • Listing on the winners’ online page with photo and bio

  • Hard copy diploma

  • Digital diploma for school and teacher

  • 2 free tickets for the Winners' concert at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall, on July 20, 2025

​

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOSHOOT

​

A professional photoshoot of the performance is available for an additional fee of $50. This fee applies to both soloists and chamber groups.

The professional photoshoot fee must be paid at the same time as the recital fee, without exception.

Note: Only the professional authorized photographer is permitted to take photos during the concert. Taking photos and videos inside Carnegie Hall is strictly prohibited.​

THE JURY

​

The jury is composed of a panel of professional musicians. At this stage, the names of the jury members will not be disclosed. To ensure fairness, any jury member with a student among the candidates will abstain from voting.

PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT

​

For the 2025 edition, piano accompaniment services will not be provided. Candidates wishing to perform pieces requiring piano accompaniment must register as a duo using the chamber music application form. This includes concertos featuring a solo instrument with piano accompaniment, which must also be considered a chamber music duo and require the Chamber Music application.

IMPORTANT RULES 

​

  1. The application fee is non-refundable.

  2. Incomplete or wrong applications result in disqualification without a refund.

  3. The jury selects the piece that the applicant will perform. The piece chosen by the jury will be communicated in the invitation email.

  4. Once the invitation email is received and the concert application is submitted, the concert repertoire can be changed up to 30 days before the concert date, subject to prior agreement with the organization. To request a change, please send an email to info@nyclassicaldebutawards.com. The timing of the new piece must not exceed that of the original piece. The repertoire change will be finalized upon submission of a specific form and payment of a $50 fee.

  5. In addition to point 4), requests to submit a new piece exceeding the previous timing by up to one minute may be considered upon agreement with the organization, submission of a specific form, and payment of an additional $50 fee.

  6. In the case of a duo with piano, requests to change the piano accompanist may be accepted upon agreement with the organization, submission of a specific form, and payment of a $50 fee. In this case, the new accompanist will not receive the winners' diploma.

  7. Winners must adhere to the concert schedule and time; failure to do so results in non-refundable fees.

  8. The jury's decision is final, and no feedback will be provided.

  9. Photography, audio, and video recordings are prohibited inside Carnegie Hall.

  10. The NYCDA organization does not cover travel and housing expenses; winners are responsible for their own costs.

  11. Hard copy diplomas will be presented to winners directly at the winners' concert. If a winner decides not to participate in the winners' concert, they may request a digital diploma at no cost, which will be sent via email. Hard copy diplomas will not be sent by mail.

  12. Performers at the Winner’s concert waive the right to any financial remuneration for their performance.

  13. Performers, along with their parents or guardians, authorize the NYCDA organization to use winners’ photos for advertising and marketing related to the competition.

  14. The NYCDA organization reserves the right to make changes to the rules and schedules of the competition.

  15. In the event that Carnegie Hall declares the venue ineligible due to extreme circumstances (such as severe weather, natural disasters, or security threats), the Gala concert will be rescheduled. Please note that the NYCDA organization will not refund any travel expenses already incurred by the winners in such cases.

  16. Children under 18 years of age will be the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians during the concert, backstage, and rehearsal time.

  17. The NYCDA organization is not liable for any theft or damage to persons or instruments during the concert, backstage, and rehearsal time.
